Left-handed pitcher Connor Adams, of Noblesville, Ind., has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Mich., and will begin playing for the Bruins next season.
Adams, a senior at Noblesville High School, was a member of the school’s Class 4A state-champion baseball team in 2014, posting a 2.69 ERA with 87 strikeouts his junior year.
Eric Laskovy, head baseball coach at KCC, said Adams comes to the Bruins from a powerhouse high school program.
“Connor is a quality lefty with room to grow, and we look forward to welcoming him to our baseball family here at KCC,” Laskovy said.
KCC’s Bruins finished second in the National Junior College Athletic Association regional tournament last spring after finishing third in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association with a 17-9 conference record. The team also finished the 2013-14 season with a 3.28 team GPA — tied for the 10th highest out of more than 400 NJCAA baseball teams in the nation.
