Darrian Burkett, of Richland, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play men’s basketball at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the Bruins next season.
The Gull Lake High School senior, a captain of his varsity team, earned all-conference honors and team MVP honors last season, averaging 19.4 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals per game.
Burkett is the first men’s basketball player to commit to KCC since Ben Reed took the helm as KCC’s head men’s basketball coach earlier this year.
“Darrian is a player with a ton of potential,” Reed said. “He has a high basketball IQ, works hard and should make an immediate impact next year.”
