Anthony DiPonio of Dearborn Heights has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the Bruins this fall.
DiPonio, a senior at Divine Child High School, is a three-year varsity player who hit .410 his junior year with seven triples, leading his team in batting. DiPonio has earned All-Catholic, All-District, All-Region and Honorable All-State honors for his time on the field and has also been recognized with honors as a three-year varsity football player.
Eric Laskovy, head baseball coach at KCC, said the program is thrilled DiPonio chose to continue his development at KCC.
“Anthony is a tough-nosed player who is very versatile,” Laskovy said. “He is the son of a long-time coach and will bring tremendous determination and work ethic to our program.”
